About this tool

In Mexico, the amount in words is written with the currency and the cents as a fraction of one hundred, for example "MIL DOSCIENTOS CINCUENTA PESOS 50/100 M.N." (that is, 1,250.50 pesos). This tool follows that format, and the result comes out in Spanish.

It applies Spanish-language rules: "un" before the noun (veintiún pesos), "cien" and "ciento," and "de" after exact millions (un millón de pesos).

It accepts amounts up to 999,999,999,999.
