How it works
Most online converters ask you to upload your file to their server, process it there and send the result back. That means your document, photo or audio passes through someone else's computer, where it may end up stored.
Convertix works the other way around: you download the tool once and the work happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your file doesn't travel anywhere.
Check it in three steps
- Airplane mode. Open any tool, turn on airplane mode or disconnect WiFi, and convert a file. If it works without internet, it's because nothing is sent.
- Network tab. In your browser, open the developer tools (F12), go to Network (or Red if your browser is in Spanish) and convert a file. You'll see there's no request carrying your file.
- Open source. We use well-known public libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip, ag-psd, lamejs, heic2any, SheetJS), hosted on this very site and not on third parties.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for sign-up or an email.
- We don't receive, store or look at your files.
- We don't load the tools from third-party servers: all the code comes from this site.
What you should know
Like any site, the hosting may log technical data about the visit (for example, the IP address and the pages opened) and, when there are ads, the advertising provider may use cookies. We detail this in the privacy notice. None of that includes the content of your files.
Frequently asked questions
Is my file really not uploaded?
No. The file is read into your browser's memory and processed with code that runs on your device. There is no request that sends it to a server.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no login and no email to leave.
What about ads?
When we turn on advertising (Google AdSense), the advertiser may use cookies to show ads, just like on any site. The ads have no access to your files, which never leave the tab where you open them.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After opening a tool once, you can turn on airplane mode and keep converting files.
